Release Candidate Submission
In Brief
The Release Candidate Submission form found here is used to submit a ninja's game for review when a ninja has completed all playtesting up to the release candidate phase.
Filling Out The Form
- Code Ninjas Name & Location: Code Ninjas London, Ontario
- Your Name: Your Name (The sensei filling the form, not the ninja)
- Your Code Ninjas Email: londononca@codeninjas.com
- Your Role: Sensei
- Black Belt Ninja's Name: First and last name of ninja
- Black Belt Ninja's Age: Age of ninja. If unsure, ask Ammar as he should have their date of birth.
- Black Belt Ninja's Gender: Eg. Male or Female
- Name of Project: The name of the black belt ninja's game.
- WebGL Link: The link to the black belt ninja's WebGL upload either on GitHub or Simmer.io
- Additional Information: Unless the ninja has some sort of special considerations required, leave blank.
- Unity Package Link: An up to date unity package for the ninja's game uploaded to Google Drive.
- Ninja's Planning Document: Updated scan of the ninja's Planning Document. It must be completed up to the release candidate phase of playtesting. Upload it to Google Drive and link it here.
- Project Checklist: An updated scan of the ninja's Project Checklist uploaded to Google Drive.
- Remaining Fields: Leave blank.
Before Submission
Before submitting the ninja's black belt project to home office, please consult with other senseis and Ammar about the game's readiness. Occassionally it is at this step that imporant issues are found that have been missed in playtesting. For example, the credits screen could be missing or incomplete.
After Submission
After submitting the release candidate form to the black belt committee, wait 1-2 weeks for a response. When the feedback is complete, the ninja will enter a multi-week iterative process fixing the required issues noted by the committee. This can take anywhere from a week to over a month. After the committee is satisfied with a submission, they will send a Going Gold Submission form to be completed for final submission.
